Come visit Ramp Up Peninsula’s Ramp Grab & Go Days this Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 11am until 4pm! Our Wild Leek ramps will be available for sale, $16 per pound, at the G.A.R. Hall parking lot (located on the southwest corner of Route 303 and Riverview Roads in Peninsula). In addition to fresh ramps, we will have ramp powder and other ramp goodies available!

Looking for an easy ramped-up spring side? We’ve got you covered with these wild leek muffins. Looking for a really ramped-up spring side? Serve these wild leek muffins with ramp compound butter.
Wild Leek Muffins
- Heat oven to 400 degrees and grease (or line with paper cups) a 12 cup muffin pan;
- Combine 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of salt;
- In a separate bowl, beat one egg;
- Stir 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 3/4 cup milk and 6 thinly sliced cleaned ramps (white and green parts) into beaten egg;
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and lightly stir (batter should be lumpy);
- Fill muffin pan and bake for 18 to 20 minutes (a butter knife inserted in the center should come out clean);
- Let cool 5 minutes, then enjoy!
