We invite you to visit The Wild Leek on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at The Seville Farm Market from 9am until 12pm. The Seville Farm Market is located in Maria Stanhope Park, 73 West Main Street in Seville, Ohio.
We also invite you to support the Medina County Fair, through Sunday, August 8, 2021. The Medina County Fair celebrates it’s 175th anniversary this year – a fun filled Northeast Ohio summer tradition since 1845!
Looking for an easy sweet treat for a hot summer day? We’ve got you covered with these simple fruit floats.
Fruit Floats
- To make a stone fruit sorbet: slice 1.5 pounds, roughly 5 or 6, fresh Northeast Ohio stone fruits (peaches, plums and nectarines all work wonderfully in this recipe);
- Peel fruit and remove pit, place in a food processor;
- Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar to the food processor;
- Pulse until fruit and sugar form a puree;
- Pour puree into a freezer-proof container;
- Freeze puree for 6 – 7 hours, or until firm;
- To make a float, fill glass with the stone fruit sorbet and soda water (optional garnishes include finely sliced basil and fresh citrus slices) and enjoy!
- Alternatively, add a favorite pop (lemon-lime or cherry-strawberry pairs well) for a decadent dessert or a sparkling wine for an adult float.
- Ingredients list: Stone fruits (peaches, plums or nectarines), Sugar, Soda Water.
